Budgie produced the original 236 casting from 1960-66 and 1969-84 (under the "H. Seener Ltd" name). In 1984, the same casting was used to produce the 704, 705, and 706 models. The Budgie models are more toy-like, but nonetheless have a certain charm. Seener continued to produce RM models after 1985 with a new casting under the "Seerol" name.

If you are interested in the various Budgie models, required reading is "Budgie Models" by Robert Newson. It's an excellent book with lots of photos. I was fortunate to purchase mine directly from Rob, who offers copies for sale - contact him via email for more details. The rarest Budgie RM exists with "Sheraton-Heathrow Hotel" on the sides and "Opening 1st February 1973" on the roof, in a special box.

I have this interesting variant in my collection - it has an Oxo ad on the nearside. I assume it's a Code 3.
