Happy 50th Anniversary to the Routemaster

SITE UPDATE: It has been over a year since the last update - I am in the process of getting everything updated and will be keeping the site current going forward. Thanks to all for your encouraging and supportive emails - the site has been a lot of fun to build and maintain.

We extend our appreciation to the International Association of Webmasters and Designers for awarding this site their "Golden Web Award" for 2003 - 2004. Visit their site here.

As of 15 May 20056, the site was five years old! Thanks to the many visitors - and a special thanks to the many kind emails that I've received. I never thought that so many people would be interested in diecast Routemasters!

Do you have any photos of models that aren't here? Send them in - and of course, you will get named credit. Thanks as always!

UPCOMING ROUTEMASTER MODELS

Interested in model buses in general?

http://www.britishmodelbuses.com/
An EXCELLENT site dedicated to 1/76 scale British model buses. HIGHLY recommended.

http://www.efezone.co.uk
If you're interested in EFE buses, look no further - this is the definitive site. Shows what EFE should consider doing themselves if they really want to reach out to the web-enabled collector. HIGHLY recommended.

The Guest Book has been removed because of a small number of people defacing it every single day much faster than I can erase.

Shame on you

I am not a dealer or profiteer; I collect simply for the enjoyment of collecting.

In a sense, I have collected a wide range of diecasts since my youth - fortunate enough to have a local hobby shop that carried a wide range of Corgis, Dinkys, and Matchbox diecasts. After living in London several times, I became interested in collecting models of the "classic" British bus, the double-decker Routemaster - and so my hobby began again, around 1993. However, it took some effort to find resources on model RMs, so I ultimately decided in May 2001 to share my knowledge by developing this site as a means of providing a central resource for collectors worldwide. My collection also includes taxis and New Beetles, a source of constant fascination for my kids. Please note that, as I live in the United States, my spelling and grammar are NOT the Queen's English.

Thanks to ATT for naming me an "All-Star"
