Lone Star produced a couple of castings from 1972 to 1989 for the Routemaster, one under the Lone Star name and another (toy) under the "Tuf-Tots" label. The buses were almost always red. Pretty crude, but then again for the price they were hard to beat. Lots of these show up on Ebay, most for under ten dollars.

The common red Lone Star bus. The buses came with one of two choices of side adverts: "See London By Bus" or "Buy Lone Star".

The packaging for the Silver Jubilee bus

Hey! It looks the same on both sides!

Here's a version with white wheels.

Not to be outdone by Corgi and Dinky, Lone Star also offered a taxi/RM gift set.
The Lone Star Routemaster was also released in a Silver Jubilee variant in 1977, as shown at right.

There was another Lone Star casting released under the "Tuf-Tots" label, #623, shown to the right.
