For more information on these and other diecast products from India, I
would recommended Issue 6 and 7 of Diecast Collector, which ran several articles on Indian diecast toys.

Milton, also known by several other names (including Morgan Milton as well as Miltan), was a company in India that used old UK dies to create a wide range of diecast vehicles. As a general rule, quality was much lower than that of the originals. That said, Milton produced an interested range of RMs in a range of colors and wheel/tire types. I just don't know anything more.

This picture shows a light blue and white variant.

A very nice blue Milton Routemaster. It's interesting to note that the "clippie" in the back didn't make the trip from the UK to India!

Notice any family resemblance between the Milton Routemaster and the Corgi 468 casting?

Despite the buses themselves being copies, Milton did produce some nice artwork for their bus boxes.

Another example of the artwork found on the packaging.

Here's a collection of three different Milton models, each with different color schemes and wheel types. I have no idea how many color variations they produced, but I suspect that it was more than a few.

A nice version of a red Milton Routemaster.

This example has a version of whizzwheels.

Same model with the original packaging.
